The Bitterfrost was a disease that appeared throughout Mossflower Country during several epidemic outbreaks, the first being recorded in The Annals of Loamhedge Abbey during the Brocktree Era. In that particular case, a cure was discovered by the mice of Loamhedge Abbey under the direction of Abbot Elder and Brother Brisken, the Abbey Gardener.
